KICE Foundation is a local NGO in Moshi, Tanzania, registered in 2021 with registration number 07NGO/R/2390, dedicated to improving the lives of orphans and vulnerable children from poor families, regardless of religion or tribe. We focus on education, health, nutrition, and community development in Kahe Ward, Moshi Rural District.
Since 1982, the upsurges of HIV/AIDS in Tanzania have caused many people, especially youth, to be infected and affected by this disease. As a result, the number of orphans increased and brought poverty to families living with orphans.
Among the identified children in Kahe Ward, most live in terrible conditions. They often stay with grandparents who are not able to care for them. Some children engage in child labor during class hours to buy food for themselves and their grandparents.
Meet the dedicated couple who turned a vision into a movement of hope.
Peter's vision was the seed that grew into the KICE Foundation. His passion for children's welfare and community development drives the organization's mission forward every day.
Rose made the commitment to support Peter and became part of the NGO. Her dedication and compassion have built a strong team and a family-like environment for all the children.

From education to health, our projects are designed to create lasting change.
Education
Transforming children in our community by bringing them to school. We support orphans and children from low-income families with education, uniforms, stationery, and more.
Health
Empowering girls with access to safe, eco-friendly sanitary pads. Each girl receives 7 reusable pads, education on menstrual hygiene, and the confidence to stay in school.
Education
A modern secondary school combining academics with vocational skills — sewing, carpentry, welding, agriculture, computer studies, music, and video production. Opening early 2027.
Lishe project (Nutrition)
The Lishe Project (Nutrition) combats food scarcity among the children we support by managing a farm where we produce Vegetables, maize, and Beans for children at Samali Samali Primary School and Talanta Secondary School. Our Lishe Farm has two cows that will produce milk for children and serve as a livestock learning centre for students joining Talanta secondary school. The Lishe project will be a sustainable solution for food production in our organisation. Our future plan will include adding chicken, a greenhouse, and a fish pond to the Lishe Farm.
We are proud to work alongside these incredible organizations.
